We Built the Future. Now It's Billing Us Every Minute.

Remember when we all believed advanced technology would save us time and money?

I'm here to tell you—we made the tech. But somewhere along the way, we forgot who the real customer was.

Now you have to pay fourteen monthly subscriptions just to do anything. And don't forget the mandatory ads you can't turn off—no matter what you paid. You'd think after shelling out cash, you'd get ad-free access. Nope. Just another revenue stream lining up on top of everything else.

It's stupid for real.

How does watching fifteen minutes of ads to get an app to open save anyone time or money? Back in the day, we called this malware. People paid good money to remove it from their systems. Today? It's like, "oh, just deal with a few ads—you're already paying a subscription."

And sure, the company needs your revenue to pad its billion-dollar bank account. They've got shareholders to impress, quarterly targets to hit, and executive bonuses to justify. Meanwhile, you're juggling four different payment processors, three "free trials" you forgot to cancel, and an app store full of software that won't function unless you keep the lights on with recurring payments.

What happened to the dream? The one where automation freed us from drudgery? Where smart tools saved hours? Where innovation meant progress, not just another invoice?

Maybe the problem wasn't the technology. Maybe the problem was the business model. Because right now, tech companies aren't building products for us. They're building engagement traps designed to extract maximum value from our attention, our data, and our wallets.

So here's the question: Who's serving whom anymore?

Because if the future costs twelve subscriptions and thirty-minute ad breaks just to send an email... maybe it's time to rethink what "advanced" really means.
